Claire Potter was born in Perth, WA. She was recipient of an Australian Young Poets Fellowship in 2005 and has published two chapbooks, In Front of a Comma and N’ombre. Her first full-length collection, Swallow, published with Five Islands Press Melbourne, was shortlisted for numerous Premier’s Literary Awards. She received a French Embassy Scholarship to complete her Masters on psychoanalysis and theatre in Paris and she currently lives and works in London.
