Jayson Gillham has emerged as one of the finest pianists of his generation. Internationally regarded for his compelling performances he joins us for this intimate and informative celebration of Australian and New Zealand classical music. Gillham’s performance has been described as:

“He plays Beethoven with a sort of ‘glow’…always a lovely sound – gorgeous!”
– Sir Mark Elder

Most recently in June 2014, Jayson was awarded First Prize in the Montreal International Music Competition.  His outstanding performance of Beethoven Piano Concerto No.4 was described in the Huffington Post as being performed ‘with such streamlined patrician elegance that he took home the 1st Prize and a string of engagements to follow’ and The Montreal Gazette reported that ‘Jayson Gillham earned his win with absorbing and relentless elegance’.
