Kerry Brown is Director of the China Studies Centre and Professor of Chinese Politics at the University of Sydney. He is Associate Fellow on the Asia Programme at Chatham House. Since 2005 he has authored over 10 books on China, the most recent of which are `Shanghai 2020′, `The New Emperors: Power and the Princelings in China’, `What’s Wrong with Diplomacy’ and `Carnival China.’ He is the editor in chief of the Berkshire Direction of Chinese Biography, and his `Xi Jinping: China’s CEO’, the first full length study of Xi Jinping in English, will appear in late 2015.
